Over the Shoulder Video
Reflection:
Our group unfortunately lost the over the shoulder video, but i had a feeling of what Bree and Cody were doing. There were some mistakes with this video, but they were little. I realized that it takes a lot of time to plan before a shoot. For example, the camera position is very important so that the video comes out really nice and professional. We need to make sure that the camera was position so that we had an over the shoulder shot. The sun was a problem when my group and I started to shot, because we didnt want any shadows to appear on our video. When i started to watch Bree's and Cody's video, the first thing i notice was that they didnt apply the rule of thirds. I also realize that Bree looked much bigger and dominant than Cody, and it was supposed to be the opposite. This video seems to have a realistic except for the handshake at the begining of the video, now that looked fake. The challenges I had while editing were the begining of the video with the handshake and the end when Bree says "yes" and she starts jumping. Yes there is a dominant mood, the mood seems to have a little bit of nervousness and happiness at the end. I also observed that when Bree and Coddy were shooting, they didnt realize that people came out in the background. I learned that when doing an over the shoulder, we have to act like if we were doing a normal converstaion and not be nervous, never over exaggerate because you can tell when that happens. By the way, almost at the end of the video we needed to add words in between the shots because they didnt shot that part.
